M.int Music Exploration Course (for ages 2.5-3.5)

The M.int Seedlings course is designed to precede, and ultimately complement instrumental lessons to form an unrivalled, balanced, and comprehensive musical education unique to M.int Academy.

Students will be taught musicianship fundamentals inspired by the Kodály Method of musical education, a world-renowned approach that specialises in child-friendly game-based learning. As Seedlings build on key musical skills such as pulse, pitch, rhythm, musical memory and inner hearing, they will engage with playground songs, rhymes, and rhythmic movement to enhance their musical understanding. Throughout the course, students will develop the ability to differentiate between dynamics and tempos; identify and vocalise high and low pitches; sing individually at pitch; and maintain a steady beat using movement and handheld percussion instruments.

In addition to musicianship, this course also includes a music appreciation component. Each week, children will listen to a well-known classical piece, enhanced by audio and visual teaching tools. This approach not only nurtures creativity and imagination but also helps children cultivate a lifelong appreciation for music!
